Get to know me

I am Diane and the most important thing I need to share with you is that my reasons for being a counsellor is to help people who may be struggling with life and all its complications.  Feeling alone with our thoughts and feelings can be very difficult, and sometimes we just need help. I can offer a safe, non-judgmental space in which to explore those feelings, I will try to understand life from your perspective, and we can work together to arrive at a better place for you.

I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor, which means I can offer a range of different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs and preferred way of working.  What I can promise, is whatever way we decide to work I will give you 100%.

I have more than ten years’ experience working with both adults and young people, with a wide range of issues, including bereavement, anxiety, relationships, anger, stress, trauma, obsessions, intrusive thoughts, self-harm and low self-esteem.  If I were to detail every issue I have worked with I can assure you the list would be endless, so please do not worry if what you need to work through is not mentioned, human beings are very complex but wonderful individuals.

I am a Level 7 qualified Clinical Supervisor, please have a look at my Supervision page for more information.

I offer online or telephone counselling, which means you can access your counselling from a place convenient to you, at a time to suit you.  All I ask is that you are comfortable and in a safe, confidential space to be free to talk about what may be difficult and upsetting feelings.

As a professional, my job is to work with you, to listen and understand.  The expert on you is you, my role is to facilitate clarity, growth, and self-awareness, so you can change things for the better.

I believe in empowering people to feel more in control of their own destiny.
